| Last Friday Katherine Wingert proved her victory at Wolfpack was no no fluke by winning the “gold” division of the Baron Cross Country Invite by over 15 seconds while covering the 2.2 mile Rohr Park course at sub 6 minute per mile pace with a time of 13:04. She was followed by Beth Wittry (14th in 14:48), Marissa Nagler (32nd in 15:43), Caitlin Bigham (36th in 15:56) and Katie Gomrick (17:37). In the boys race Jake Ruzevick, on the comeback trail from a foot injury, placed 5th in a tough field while clocking 16:46 over the 3.1 mile boys course. He was followed by Ryan Haig (18:27), Jack Harms (19:15), Alton Smith (20:15) and Buddy Marshall (21:38). |
