Beth Wittry broke her own triple jump record of 32' 7" with a 33' 6.5" leap at the Bronco Invite on March 20th.

Jamie's' 5' 7" high jump at the CIF prelims on May 22nd obliterated the former mark of 5-4 set by Teta Murphy in 1979. She actually broke the old mark a week earlier at the City Championship by jumping
5-4 1/4.
At the state finals in Sacramento she jumped 5-7 in the prelims to advance to the finals and 5-7 again in the finals to tie for 5th.


Katherine Wingert and Reid McLean set school records at the CIF Prelims held at Poway High School on 22 May. Katherine's 1600 meter time of 5:03.82 bettered Jessica Lunt's time of 5:05.84 set at Balboa Stadium in 1996 at the CIF prelims that year. Katherine also established a new 1500 meter school record of 4:45.2.
Reid's time in the 300 hurdles of 39.50 bettered Brett Simmons record of 39.92 set in 1999 at league finals. The next weekend at the CIF prelims on May 29th Reid lowered the record to 38.94 while winning the section championship. This remains the fastest time for the San Diego section in 2004. .
